QUALITY AND STUDENT SATISFACTION IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

With processes such as globalization and the transition to the information society, the demand for higher education is increasing day by day all over the world.increased. The number of higher education institutions and the competition between institutions are increasing accordingly.The increase in competition has brought with it the need for quality.indices began to form. Worldwide, leading QS, THE, ARWU and Leidenis one of the indices. In our country, URAP lists universities both in Turkey and in the world.In order for universities to become better quality and to rank higher in the indexes,More emphasis has been placed on quality in higher education. Accreditation processIt is one of the main applications in the field of quality in higher education. 12 different nationalities in our countryThe quality agency accredits undergraduate programs. However, the universities received in the indexesrows or accreditation of departments are not sufficient to determine student satisfaction. ThisTherefore, student satisfaction needs to be determined separately. In this study, higher educationThe concepts of quality and student satisfaction are specific to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (ZBEÜ).has been researched. The ultimate aim of the study is to increase the quality of higher education to the main addressee of the subject andis to draw attention to the expectations of students who are service buyers.
