THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF PREFERENCE FALSIFICATION AND ITS INTERPRETATION IN TERMS OF BUSINESSES

It has not been interpreted in terms of businesses, although the concept of preference falsification is generally handled in terms of tyrannizer states administrations. The aim of this paper is to explain what the concept of preference falsification is and how it affects businesses. For this purpose, firstly the sociological and psychological roots of preference falsification were examined by reviewing the academic literature on the subject. Then, what the concept of preference falsification is and how it is interpreted morally is discussed. The next section which is tackled how preference falsification is reflected in businesses, draws attention to its difference with other business practices that lead to behavioral change. Finally, it was concluded that preference falsification that emerged as a result of the autocratic management approach may lead to loss of productivity and negative organizational climate in enterprise
