Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the state's supportive policies for women's entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurs in Turkey.Entrepreneurship acts as a locomotive in economic development and growth, and also plays a step role in achieving success in the market economy. In our country, we see that women have been actively engaged in entrepreneurship activities since the 1990s. Participation of women in entrepreneurship activities and supporting women entrepreneurs not only enables them to achieve their economic freedoms but also creates employment for women. Encouraging women to be entrepreneurs with the support given by various policies, institutions and organizations is considered as an investment for women as well as an investment for social development. Women entrepreneurship is being supported more and more every year, by bringing powerful and equipped women to the society and affecting economic growth and development positively.
