Abstract

Micro-credit is a trust-based finance program that does not require guarantees and collateral that allows women to engage in income-generating activities on their own. It is the aim of the micro credit finance program to help women gain entrepreneurship and contribute to the family budget and to meet the needs of their children and their children. This research aimed to determine the importance of micro credit application in fighting against women's poverty and to examine the effects of micro credit applications on women using micro credits in Iğdır. A face-to-face questionnaire was conducted with women entrepreneur members using 282 micro-credits selected through full census. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS package program and probit method. In the study, it was found that 73.1% increase in income after using micro-credit, 70.2% improvement in living standards and 91.8% micro-credit have been found to provide job opportunities for them and improve their business.
