TOURISM PLEDGES DURING the TURKISH GENERAL ELECTION of 2002 and DEVELOPMENTS in TOURISM BETWEEN 2002-2007

The tourism sector, which is called as smokeless industry, has an important place for the economies of the country. Tourism has the feature of providing job opportunities to a large number of people. Diversity in tourism activities is increasing day by day in the world. The tourism policies applied in Turkey is developing in these dimensions. Increased importance given to tourism in Turkey after 1980. Starting from this period, political parties prepared their programs in this direction and carried out their policies in this direction. The aim of the study participated in the 2002 general election and after the election of the party managed to enter the Turkey Grand National Assembly is to determine the promising tourism. These parties are the Justice and Development Party and the Republican People's Party. It is also to determine the tourism promises of the Young Party, which could not enter the Grand National Assembly Of Turkey after the election but received more than expected votes. In the study, the promises of the Justice and Development Party and the Republican People's Party, which succeeded in entering the parliament, were determined. In addition, the promises of the Young Party, who voted more than expected, were determined. In the study, it was concluded that the parties made promises to develop and diversify tourism and spread tourism to four seasons. With the tourism activities of the Justice and Development Party, which was in power after the 2002 general election, tourism revenues increased significantly. 22. Period of Turkey's Grand National Assembly adopted the law on tourism. The Justice and Development Party has made agreements to develop tourism with different countries.
