In this study, it is aimed to classifying these divider elements of different types used in today's interiors by them according to certain criteria, and reveal positive and negative aspects as usage alternatives in interior design. Within the scope of the study, a classification has been created for the divider elements. According to this classification, divider elements are mainly examined under four different headings according to their structures, visual communication controls, functional alternatives and their relations with the human scale. Each title has diversified within itself, allowing to gather divider elements of different qualities under a single roof. Within these classifications, the qualities and positive and negative aspects of the divider elements are examined. In the examinations, it has been determined that the spaces can change over time according to the demands of the users and this creates the flexibility requirement in the spaces, and the divider elements can be designed according to changing conditions and requirements in space designs by meeting this requirement. However, it is possible to say that the divider elements can provide solutions to different design problems due to their application methods, material alternatives and their ability to be shaped according to usage preferences.
