Abstract

INVESTIGATION OF BURNOUT SYNDROME ON TEACHERS WHO WORK DEPENDING ON NATIONAL EDUCATION IN CORUM PROVINCES AND DISTRICTS

Occupational health and safety takes place in every stage of our lives and in every occupational group. Occupational health and safety includes both private sector employees and teachers who are a service and public sector. During the time teachers spend in their profession, they are affected by various risk factors. Burnout syndrome, which is a psychosocial risk factor, can be seen in teachers over time due to various factors such as the physical conditions of the schools they work and the environment, the levels of the students and the weekly course hour load. Burnout syndrome; It is a middle-age crisis known as emotional exhaustion and apathy towards life In this study; In the year 2020-2021, the burnout syndrome level of 120 teachers from different branches working in different types of schools in provinces and districts of Çorum province national education was tried to be examined. A questionnaire consisting of two parts examining the demographic characteristics of the teachers and measuring the level of burnout was applied to the teachers. The statistical analysis of the answers given by the teachers to the questionnaire was made with the program "IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0" and the value of "Cronbach Alpha (α)" was found to be 0.821. The value found in the range of 0.8 <α <1 proves that the study is very reliable. As a result of the study, it was determined that the burnout level of the teachers participating in the survey is dependent on the gender, years of service, place of duty, school type, age and not depending on the weekly course hours. Although most of the teachers participating in the survey have a service year of twenty or more years, the low level of burnout and the good physical condition of the schools in Çorum provinces and districts show that students and parents are sensitive to education.
